Memoir
It was early in the morning. My dad and I were driving to the airport to go to Tennessee.
We were going there to watch our favorite football team -the California Golden Bears. We were
a little late and were running to catch our plane. I was about six at the time and could not run
very fast, but did what I could. We ended up making it through security and making our flight,
but just barely. We were staying in a nice hotel and had really great seats. It was just the two of
us and it was so much fun. That was not my first football game but one that was very special to
me. The game was during the sunset of summer, and I could hear shouts and screaming. That
marked the beginning of one of my favorite memories with my dad.
My dad is 6'4" and probably 180 pounds. He is super funny, but really stubborn. I think his
stubbornness comes from my grandma. He is probably the most stubborn person on the face of
the earth. He had to sit in a certain row so that he could easily get to food or the bathroom, so
that he doesn't miss a big part of the game. He is also always pretty funny. He always makes a
joke about the other team, or a cheesy joke about the food or bathrooms, but I always laugh. He
is also really nice. We always get whatever we need for anything.
I love my dad. He is the best possible dad I could ever ask for. He and I have many
special connections. We both love sports like it is our children. We watch games and have our
own opinions. He is also super nice and supportive in whatever I do. This is why I chose my dad
for my memoir.
